meet Wendy

Wendy Halley has been weaving stories since she was eleven years old, guided by a fascination with dreams, consciousness, and the healing power of storytelling. With over thirty years of experience as a writer, editor, and journalist, Wendy’s career has spanned newspaper arts reporting, music journalism, television news production and reporting, and creative nonfiction.

Her diverse body of work includes the metaphysical children’s picture book Inside Out (Illumination Arts, 2003), Slaying the Mouse: A True Story of Healing in the Spiritual Realms (2012) recounting her 9-month shamanic connection with a young man in a coma, and The Magical Path: Conscious Dreaming Exercises for Healing & Growth (2010), all inspired by her vivid, visionary dream life.

Holding a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, Wendy brings a unique depth of psychological insight to her fiction and nonfiction work. Her latest novel, Raven’s Daughter: The Story Keeper, marks her entry into visionary fiction — a story she feels she was destined to write. This new work channels the themes that have always called to her: the interplay of dreams and waking life, our collective relationship with truth and deception, and the transformational power of story.

When she’s not writing or working as a psychotherapist, Wendy also produces and hosts the Lucid Café podcast, co-hosts the satirical advice podcast Inside the Box with Claire & Wendy, and offers ancient and cutting edge methods to heal and explore consciousness at Lucid Path Wellness in Montpelier, Vermont.
